Life on Mars - Barbra Streisand
recorded back in 1974 and almost a complete opposite to what she'd been recording previously, Life On Mars sees Streisand as a loved up 70s hippy chick on her album Butterfly!
Musically its pretty similar to Bowie's (I never really liked his voice) but obviously Babs pushes the dramatics through the roof. I think this suits the ludicrous lyrics contained in the song - what is it about?!
